TODAY: Off and on rain showers are in the forecast for the first half of the afternoon. Coverage should increase through the evening drive. Highs today will only warm to the 40s so it will be a good day for the winter jacket. Cold air wraps in tonight so this will start changing over to all snow after sunset. The Palmer Divide and places west of the interstate will be seeing the best chance for wintry weather. Winter weather advisories are in place for Teller County through 6AM on Friday.

TONIGHT: Snow is in the forecast tonight for places west of I-25 and over the Palmer Divide. Rain will be ongoing over the Arkansas River Valley and far plains. Temperatures tonight will be in the 30s and 40s. Mountain cities will cool to the 30s.

EXTENDED: Minor to moderate accumulation is ecpected in those snow favored areas by late Thursday night and into Friday morning. Rain and thunder are in the forecast Friday and Saturday before we dry out and warm up for Mother’s Day.
