Strong to severe storms likely – 5/7/19

TODAY: Tuesday begins with mostly cloudy skies and some drizzly weather. Between 12-2PM today, clearing takes place south of Highway 50 and storms begin to develop. Most of these lift to the northeast through 3-5PM today producing larger hail and some strong wind gusts. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out completely today. Highs climb to the 50s and 60s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: A few showers and storms will likely linger tonight. Lows cool to the 40s under a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky.

EXTENDED: Rain and snow will move in for Wednesday and Thursday which will likely leave higher terrain areas with some minor accumulation. It won’t last long as drying and clearing move in for the weekend. Mother’s Day looks nice and dry with temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
