Recent Colorado College graduate killed in Russia plane crash
A man who recently graduated from Colorado College was among the 41 killed after an airplane crashed during an emergency landing over the weekend in Moscow.
Jeremy Brooks of New Mexico was on board the Aeroflot Superjet 100 when it hit the runway and burst into flames.
Brooks was a fishing guide and had just got a job to guide fishing in Russia, according to ABC News.
A friend, Ivan Valdez, said Brooks had just graduated in Colorado Springs. Colorado College confirmed Brooks’ death and called the crash a tragedy.
Russian media have quoted the pilot of the airliner that burst into flames during an emergency landing in Moscow as saying the plane was without radio communications because of a lightning strike.
