UPDATE: No bomb present after threat at North Mesa Elementary

UPDATE: The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says nothing was found at North Mesa Elementary School after a reported bomb threat Tuesday afternoon.

Students were taken to Pleasant View Middle School and District 70 is letting guardians know when they can pick up their children.

North Mesa Elementary School in Pueblo County was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a report of a bomb threat.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the threat happened at about 12:30 p.m. A school district spokesperson said a phone call “with a robotic voice” called in the threat. Bomb squad officers are assisting deputies with the investigation.

The school is east of Pueblo. All students and staff have been evacuated, and students were taken to Pleasant View Middle School.

No injuries have been reported, and no explosives have been reported to be found.
