Increasing rain chances into the holiday weekend

Upper-level high pressure centered to our east will continue to drive our weather pattern this evening, with only a slight chance for an isolated shower, mainly across the Eastern Plains and towards the New Mexico border. Temperatures will remain warm for a September night, with overnight lows only dropping into the low to mid 60s for most.

Temperatures will again remain well above-average tomorrow, with highs in the low to mid 90s across the Front Range, and perhaps a few 100° readings in the Eastern Plains. Chances for rain will remain rather low, with a few isolated showers possible.

Precipitation chances will ramp up as we head into the weekend, as monsoonal moisture increases from the Southwest. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase through the Labor Day holiday, with slightly cooler temperatures.
