Tucker Shivers remembered as good-hearted, generous adventurer

Many in Colorado Springs are mourning the loss of Tucker Shivers, the snowboarder who lost his life last week after a fall at Pikes Peak.

Shivers was snowboarding in a well-known backcountry area known as Glen Cove when he lost control and suffered a suspected head injury.

He was the CEO of Conquered Peaks, a local outdoor apparel brand, but he was also a leader, friend, husband, and father.

“None of us would be friends without him. He brought everyone together and changed our lives. He’s the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back,” said a member of the Conquered Peaks Snowboarding Team.

His father added, “He’s the example of what a good heart can do. He was a free spirit and a loving kid.”

“Tucker was an adventurer, a never give up person. He always wanted to do what was best for others.” said his wife.

Tucker posted this picture to Facebook the day before the accident. He shows how excited he was to conquer the mountain.

If you would like to help the Shivers Family, there’s a Gofundme page with a goal of $15,000.
