TODAY: A few rain showers mixing with snowflakes are likely for the first part of today, before moisture increases during the afternoon. Scattered rain and thunder will be seen up and down I-25 especially after 2PM today. A couple of strong storms are possible in far southeast Colorado this afternoon and through the early evening. As we move later and later into the evening, more and more snow will be mixing in over 7,000′. This will eventually change to all snow through tonight and into tomorrow morning.

TONIGHT: Moderate to heavy accumulating snow is likely over 7,000′ tonight. Most snow accumulation will be occuring in this timeframe, and will primarily be contained to grassy areas. Temperatures will be in the 30s and 20s tonight. Anywhere from 3 to 8″ is likely around Teller County with very minor accumulation through Colorado Springs and places through Monument.

EXTENDED: A few showers and storms are likely over the next few days with a slow warm up through Wednesday. Sunshine and dry, warm skies are expected Thursday into the weekend.
