Shots fired at CSPD in Southeast Colorado Springs

Two people are in custody after opening fire on Colorado Springs Police early Monday morning. The shooting and chase occurred in the 4800 Block of Astrozon. No officers were hurt during the incident.

The suspects sped off in a car but eventually tried to escape on foot.

And we are now learning that the two suspects involved are juveniles and the car they were driving was in fact, stolen.

The suspects were taken into custody and a gun was found in their area.

This is an ongoing investigation but police say there is no danger to the community at this time. Make sure to stay with KRDO for updates.
