KRDO honored with 7 Regional Edward R. Murrow awards

KRDO NewsChannel 13 was recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and has been honored with seven 2019 Regional Edward R. Murrow awards.

RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow awards since 1971. Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of journalism.

Among the seven awards received, KRDO was honored with the Overall Excellence award.

The honors KRDO received are:

Hard News – Bart Bedsole, Police Response Times

Excellence in Social Media – Andrew McMillan, Facebook Live Storytelling

News Series – Wildfire Week

Breaking News – Day of Tragedy – Micah Flick

Best Newscast – Day of Tragedy – Micah Flick

Overall Excellence – KRDO-TV
