Colorado Springs police search for armed suspect last seen near Olympic Training Center

Officers were called to the 1800 block of E. Monument Street in response to a shots fired call early Wednesday morning.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a suspect had pointed a weapon at several people and fired one round into the ceiling before leaving the area.

No one was injured and officers recovered a spent shell casing on the scene.

Authorities have identified the suspect and are attempting contact.

Police say there is no danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
