Vigil held for missing Colorado Springs woman

The investigation into the disappearance of Jepsy Amaga Kullungi is still ongoing, and a few dozen people gathered at Deerfield Hills Park in Colorado Springs for a prayer vigil Friday night hoping she’s found soon.

The Filipino-American Community of Southern Colorado lit candles and prayed together for her return.

Kallungi’s family hasn’t heard from her for nearly a month, and CSPD is investigating her disappearance, saying there are suspicious circumstances in her case.

Rachel Jackson has been in contact with Kallungi’s mother who’s still in Hong Kong trying to get to the U.S.

“She’s been having sleepless nights she’s been crying all the time, and I told her, I said ‘there’s nothing we can do but wait until the investigations,” Jackson said.

The people who attended the vigil and put it together didn’t even know Kallungi personally, but are hopeful questions surrounding her disappearance can be answered soon.
