Two people hospitalized after driving off Gold Camp Road

Colorado State Patrol is investigating after a Colorado Springs man drove off Gold Camp Road Friday night with a passenger inside.

CSP said 28-year-old Keifer Tomlinson was driving a Jeep Wrangler on Gold Camp Road when he lost control of the car and went off the side of the road.

The Jeep rolled over multiple times and stopped at the bottom of a canyon.

Tomlinson, and the passenger, 40-year-old Jason Reel were taken to Memorial Central Hospital.

While both of them were wearing seatbelts, Tomlinson has moderate injuries, while Reel has serious injuries from the crash.

CSP said alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, and charges are pending for Tomlinson.
