Senator Michael Bennet now cancer free

Michael Bennet is cancer free, a spokesperson for the senator made the announcement on Friday.

The Colorado Democrat said he will no longer require further treatment.

“Last weekend, Michael underwent surgery and is recovering at his home in Colorado. His doctors report the surgery was completely successful.”

Bennet announced he had prostate cancer back in April.

Bennet said in a statement that he was diagnosed in March and called himself “fortunate” that the cancer was detected early. He said his prognosis “good.”
