Mid-week storm on the way – 4/16/19

TODAY: Partly cloudy to partly sunny skies will be seen around Southern Colorado today as a wave of energy moves in from the west. This will make for a breezy day, with chances for isolated rain and thunder showers after 4PM today. Highs will be in the 70s to around 80. 60s are expected over the mountains.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with temperatures cooling to the 30s and 40s. A stray shower is possible.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks pretty active, especailly tomorrow. Scattered rain and even a bit of snow push in. This coverage becomes more expansive through the afternoon. We will likely even be dealing with a few thunderstorms out east of I-25 tomorrow. No snow accumulation is expected locally, other than a few inches over the high peaks on the southern mountains. Highs will be cooler for the middle of the week before dry skies move in on Friday and Saturday. This is also coming with some warmth. The Easter Holiday looks cooler and rainy.
