Winter Storm Overnight 4-10-19

Tonight: Blizzard warnings for northern El Paso County replaced with Winter Weather Advisory until 3am Thursday morning when the snow will begin to taper off. Lingering gusty winds through the overnight. expected gusts close to 50-60 mph . Moderate snow will continue for portions of southern Colorado alongside gusty winds. These bands of snow will wrap by the early morning hours.

Tomorrow: Winds still quite gusty during the early morning hours. Blowing and drifting snow, as well as black ice, will be the main impacts. Most of the heavy snow will taper off during the morning hours. But I’d anticipate very tricky traveling conditions through much of the day. Temperatures hovering in the 30’s with windchill readings down in the 20’s
