Overnight structure fire causes power outages in Caon City
A structure fire began just after midnight Sunday in Cañon City in the 200 block of Royal Gorge Boulevard. Fire crews arrived at the scene to find a vacant motel type structure engulfed in flames.
The fire was under control by 1:25 a.m. Black Hills Energy crews were brought to the scene to secure primary power lines, causing several outages in the area. KRDO has been told that at this time power has been restored to the area.
No injuries have been reported. An investigation into what caused the fire is now underway.
