King Soopers and workers union reach ‘final offer’
King Soopers and the workers union reached a “final offer” Monday morning.
According to a Facebook post, the offer came after 37 hours of bargaining this weekend.
King Soopers released a statement saying the two parties have reached a “tentative agreement.”
They continued to say, “this is good news for our associates, customers and communities.”
KDVR reports, King Soopers and the workers union reached a “final offer” to avoid a strike. Union members authorized a strike last weekend but negotiations have continued as both sides hope to reach a deal before workers walk off the job.
Union workers must still vote to approve a deal. No further details have been released.
