Man, dog dead after crash in Colorado Springs RV park

A 58-year-old man is dead after a crash into a retaining wall at a Colorado Springs RV park Thursday morning.

It happened at the Wrangler RV park on E. Platte Ave. (MAP) According to a KRDO photographer at the scene, a pickup truck crashed into a wall and no other cars were involved.

Officials confirmed that the man and a dog died in the crash.

It’s possible the man had a medical emergency that led to the crash, but the coroner’s office still needs to perform an autopsy. His identity hasn’t been released yet.

The dog was taken by animal control.
