Warmer Wednesday ahead – 3/6/19

TODAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy for your Wednesday with highs in the 50s to near 60. Mountain cities will be in the 40s.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 20s. High country snow is likely and we will see a few of those flurries and isolated snow showers spill into Teller County after midnight. Accumulation or widespread icy roads are not expected.

EXTENDED: We pick up the wind for Thursday. Because those breezy conditions will be a problem, a wind alert is out for the daytime due to gusts in the 30s. Mild temperatures will be with us through Friday afternoon before rain and snow move in for Friday night. That changes to snow for a brief time on Saturday morning before it clears out. This storm also doesn’t look to be a big problem. More widespread snow is likely Monday into Tuesday.
