Canon City wants suggestions to name albino deer

The city of Canon City is embracing its stark-white mascot, and now there’s a poll to name the famous albino white deer that has been spotted around town in recent months.

The city posted to its Facebook page with a poll and a comment section open to suggestions for the deer’s name.

We told you about the albino white deer Tuesday, and it’s been seen more often on the city’s east side recently. Local neighbors have been working to protect the deer, and the city has an exemption that keeps it safe from hunters.
