Overnight car chase ends in crash in Old Colorado City

A police chase started late Monday night in Old Colorado City. A vehicle reportedly ran into an El Paso County Sheriff’s Officer cruiser before speeding off, beginning the pursuit.

The man was followed through Manitou Springs and eventually circled back toward Old Colorado City. The suspect then crashed his vehicle in the Safeway parking lot on Colorado and 32nd Street.

That suspect was caught by police and transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
