Two avalanches in Northern Colorado lead to I-70 closure

One avalanche closes down I-70 in the same area where another avalanche was caught on video.

Both avalanches happened within a few hours of each other, just miles apart. The one caught on video happened near Ten Mile Canyon a few miles away from Copper Mountain. No reports of anyone being hurt have been released. The Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted that I-70 will be closed from Edwards to Frisco due to avalanche risk and adverse road conditions.

Dozens of cars were seen lined up waiting for the road to open.

Avalanche warnings have been issues in Colorado due to our snowfall this weekend.
