Jon Karroll leaves lasting legacy after decades at KRDO
Jon Karroll is moving on from KRDO NewsChannel 13, and while it’s sad to think of Good Morning Colorado airing next week without him, it’s been nothing but smiles in the newsroom Friday as we remember his legacy.
Karroll has spent 25 years with KRDO — that’s more than two decades of keeping us in stitches with his banter and informing us directly when the big stories hit.
But Karroll’s not moving from Colorado Springs, so there’s a good chance you’ll run into him out and about in town.
“I’m staying in Colorado Springs, taking a position as Development and Communications Manager with Special Kids Special Families,” Karroll said. “This local non-profit works to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities and their families. This did not come about overnight. I’ve been thinking about changing careers for several years with the goal of joining an organization that makes a difference in peoples’ lives. I feel this position will be a perfect fit for me.”
