Sunny weather day – 2/20/19
TODAY: Sunshine persists all afternoon and warms Colorado Springs into the 30’s for the first time this week. Snow from the previous two days will melt through the afternoon, keeping the roads wet. Light south westerly winds at 5-10mph.
TONIGHT: Black ice is possible this evening. Winds remain light through the evening under partly cloudy skies with no chance of precipitation. Low temperatures will drop to around 11 degrees so still pretty chilly early tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED : Slight warming trend to finish off the work week and into the weekend. Partly cloudy Thursday afternoon with a chance for light snow flurries after 9pm. Friday turns mostly cloudy high temperatures in the mid 30’s and 40’s. Can’t rule out another round of snow flurries Friday evening into Saturday morning. Minimal accumulation in Colorado Springs. A few inches possible in Teller County/ higher elevations of Pueblo County/ Prowers County/ Kiowa County.
