Sign posted in Denver threatening to hurt dogs if poop isn’t picked up
Someone’s not happy about the dog poop situation in a Denver neighborhood, but now neighbors are speaking up after a sign was posted with aggressive threats toward dogs and other homeowners.
The sign was posted on South Logan Street, according to ABC affiliate Denver7, and it threatens the use of “poisoned meatballs,” “paw crushing traps,” and smearing feces “all over your front door.” This is all because the person behind the sign says neighbors aren’t picking up after their dogs.
Some neighbors said they’re scared for the safety of their dogs.
“Somebody has now put in a large sign that she is going to poison animals that wander onto her property or set hunting traps to potentially kill them,” Jamie Zynger told Denver7.
But some on the social media app Nextdoor are defending the idea behind the sign, with one woman writing, “I doubt she meant the threats, but … dog owners, clean up after your dog.”
The author of the sign hasn’t been identified, and it’s not clear if police are looking into the incident for any criminal charges.
