Weather Alert Day: Additional light snow – 2/19/19
TODAY: Light snow flurries under mostly cloudy skies will continue for much of the day. Additional daytime accumulation less than one inch. Winter Weather Advisories expire at 11am. Very cold as low temperatures this morning will range from 0 to 5 degrees. Slight warming expected this afternoon, reaching 20 degrees. Winds out of the SSW at 5-10mph.
TONIGHT: A few snow showers will impact the evening commute. Accumulation will remain minimal. Although black ice under a light dusting of snow will create hazardous road conditions in the overnight hours. It’ll be another night with low’s to 5 degrees and light northerly winds at 5-10mph.
EXTENDED: Colorado enters into a warming trend to finish off the work week. Sunshine returns and high’s reach into the mid 30’s/ low 40’s. Snow flurries possible in Teller County and the southern mountains Thursday night. Scattered snow showers in Colorado Springs late Friday night, minimal accumulation.
