Snow Chances Return 2-14-19
TONIGHT: Snow showers will be ongoing in Teller County with rain and snow in Colorodo Springs likely after midnight. Snow will be ongoing over the Southern Mountains and showers along with freezing drizzle are possible out over the plains. Light accumulations are possible in Teller County up to 1″ with slight more on Pikes Peak. Only a trace is possible in Colorado Springs, with up to 1″ in the foothills. Some models are showing up to 3″ in Teller County, but recent warm temperatures should keep messy roads and those higher totals at bay.
FRIDAY: Crisp start to the morning but with returning winds from the west combined with afternoon sunshine we should have temps back into the 50’s and some 60’s across the plains.
EXTENDED: We have another round of snow on Saturday that will only bring minor accumulations for the morning hours and cooler highs. We have a brief break in the snow on Saturday afternoon and into Sunday morning before a more significant round moves in late Sunday night and lingering into Monday and Tuesday. This one looks to bring higher accumulations so we will keep you posted.
