Police: Man killed by impaired driver in Colorado Springs
A woman faces charges after Colorado Springs Police say she hit and killed a man with her car.
An officer found a man lying near the intersection of Cimino Dr. and Colorado Ave., just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Thursday, he was identified as 21-year-old Mitchal Holloway.
Destany Cardenas, 21, returned to the scene in the car that investigators believe struck the man. She was arrested and now faces charges of vehicular homicide as well as driving under the influence.
This is the sixth traffic-related fatality in the city so far this year.
