Mild afternoon ahead – 2/12/19

TODAY: Mostly sunny and mild weather is in the forecast for your Tuesday. Highs should climb into the 40s and 50s, with 30s over the mountains. West winds should keep things breezy during the daytime.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the teens to low 20s.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks very active. Fire weather watches are in place along the I-25 cooridor for Wednesday. We have also issued a wind alert for the area. This is due to the dry and breezy conditions. These fire weather watches could be upgraded to red flag warnings, so be aware of that high fire danger for tomorrow. We stay breezy and warm on Thursday, so another wind alert is out for the daytime. Then things become unsettled and wintry. A round of snow looks to be moving in Thursday night into the first half of Friday. More snow is possible Friday night into Saturday, with a more significant round moving in Sunday into Monday. This storm could bring us some accumulation so we will keep you posted.
