Australian food company opening U.S. HQ in Colorado Springs

A food manufacturer based out of Australia is opening up its U.S. headquarters in Colorado Springs later this year and plans to add up to 75 new jobs.

Trisco Foods is purchasing a 39,600-square-foot facility on Garden of the Gods Road in mid-2019. The group creates specialty foods and contracts out to many food/beverage markets.

Phase one of the U.S. HQ build includes an operation that will produce specialized food goods used in the treatment of a swallowing disorder known as dysphagia, according to the company.

Phase two will include more research and development over the next five years. That’s when 50 new jobs will be created.

The company’s main headquarters will still be in Brisbane, Australia.
