Weather Alert Day: wind and cold – 2/11/19

TODAY: We start the day out with some cold and patchy fog. That becomes pretty dense as you head up to Denver. A weather alert is out as winds pick up through the mid morning and early afternoon. Look for gusts between 30 and 45 mph today. The worst of the wind will be east of Denver, so watch out for that if you are heading that way for work. Most of the snow we see in Colorado today will be contained to the high country, but a few snow showers could sneak into our local mountain cities. Eastern plains have the chance for seeing a few sprinkles today. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s around noon and then temps will drop following that.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the single digits.

EXTENDED: The weather will be quiet and breezy the next couple of days, and we will also be warming things up to the 50s and 60s. By next weekend, things look quiet until widespread snow and cold moves in on Sunday.
