Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd prepares for makeover, closures start Monday

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road will be closed Monday as it gets ready for a makeover to improve access to neighborhood streets and reduce traffic congestion along the roadway during peak hours.

The construction will go through mid-April. Workers will be out between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

In the meantime, there will be traffic delays on Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road between Marland Road and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo entrance.

Drivers can expect lane closures, delays, and flaggers out directing traffic. If at all possible, find alternate routes.
