Not as cold today – 2/8/19

TODAY: We will feel a bitter cold start to the morning in southern Colorado, with a wind chill between – and -15. Layer up and limit time outside early on. You’ll also want to leave yourself a few extra minutes to scrape a heavy frost off your car. Highs today will be warmer under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be climing to the 20s in the mountains, with 30s and 40s over the lower elevations.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold. We get rid of those single digit lows and replace them with temps in the teens.

EXTENDED: The first part of the weekend looks fairly quiet and warmer with highs in the 40s to near 50 on Saturday afternoon. By Sunday, snow moves into the high country and a few of those flakes could spill over into our Mountain Cities along the Front Range. There are better chances for snow and wind for the Monday of next week. It is still a bit too early to work out details, but we will keep you updated.
