Kelsey Berreth of Woodland Park hasn’t been seen since Nov. 22 and speculators on social media are pointing the finger at her fiance for answers, but his lawyer says he’s been fully cooperative with law enforcement and has allowed multiple searches and interviews.
Berreth was last seen in a Safeway grocery store in Woodland Park , but the last person she was said to be in contact with was her fiance, Patrick Frazee. Woodland Park Police said Frazee received a text message from her on Nov. 25.
Berreth’s phone was last pinged on Nov. 25 in south-central Idaho, police said. Nothing was missing from her home other than her purse.
A news conference was held on Monday to provide more details about Berreth’s disappearance, but police are still calling it a missing person case, and not a suspected abduction or kidnapping.
Frazee wasn’t in attendance at the conference, and our ABC News partner asked why. Police referred media to ask Frazee, himself.
Wednesday, an attorney representing Frazee released a statement saying he was only informed of the conference an hour before it took place and didn’t have enough notice to make it in time. It’s not clear where Frazee was when the conference was announced; his home address is in Florissant.
“Mr. Frazee hopes and prays for [Kelsey] Berreth’s return,” the statement says. “[He] will continue to cooperate with law enforcement and continue to parent the child he shares with Ms. Berreth.”
Berreth dropped their daughter off with Frazee on Nov. 22, but we don’t have many other details surrounding her disappearance. Police said she had requested time off work, but no clues have come to light about where she currently is.
Woodland Park Police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations are still working on the case, and according to the attorney statement, Frazee has been a part of the investigation.
“Frazee’s cooperation includes interviews with law enforcement, voluntarily releasing his phone to be searched by law enforcement, buccal [swabs], and photographs.”
Woodland Park Police said Monday that they hadn’t searched Frazee’s residence at that time.
We’ve attempted to reach out to Frazee, but he’s not commenting to any media. His attorney says he “does not want to impede law enforcement’s investigation.”
At this time, Frazee hasn’t been named a suspect or even a person of interest. Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young referred to him as “the father of their child.”
Berreth is still missing, and investigators are still gathering clues. If you have any information about her whereabouts, you’re asked to get in contact with the Woodland Park Police Department at (719) 687-9262.

Woodland Park Police say the disappearance of a 29-year-old mother is being treated as a missing person case with no suspects, but the mother in question requested time off work after going missing.
The update came during a press conference Monday in Woodland Park. ( VIDEO ) The Colorado Bureau of Investigations introduced the conference with the goal of getting Kelsey Berreth’s case out in the public.
Berreth was last seen in a Woodland Park grocery store on Nov. 22.
Tuesday, we spoke with Dan Corsentino, a private investigator, former Pueblo County Sheriff and former Fountain Police Chief.
He also played a key investigative role in the disappearance of Kelsey Schelling.
Corsentino says there are a lot of unanswered questions about what happened to Kelsey Berreth.
“There is obviously a big question mark why there wasn’t an immediate missing report that was filed,” he said.
Monday, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said Berreth sent a message to her employer saying she wouldn’t be coming in the following week. De Young didn’t specify what date that message was sent but said it was after she “went missing.”
Berreth’s fiance, Patrick Frazee, said he hadn’t heard from her since Nov. 25, but last saw her when he took their daughter on the 22nd. Their daughter is still with Patrick, police said.
Speculation echoed at Monday’s news conference. Several reporters asking about Berreth’s fiancee, who wasn’t present but who police say is cooperating.
Corsentino warns – not to convict him just yet.
“It doesn’t mean he’s guilty by not showing up,” said Corsentino. “He doesn’t want to become a suspect in the public’s eye and be prejudged.”
Security footage from the Safeway of Kelsey and their baby was released by Woodland Park Police Tuesday. This was one of the last time’s Kelsey was seen publicly.

De Young said Frazee was invited to the news conference but didn’t attend. He’s being cooperative with the investigation and wasn’t named as a suspect, with De Young only saying “Frazee is the father of their child.”
The chief added that police hadn’t searched Frazee’s house — the two didn’t live together — and said it was “something to look into.” He also confirmed that Berreth’s phone was last pinged on Nov. 25 in Idaho.
De Young said that he didn’t have any record of a domestic violence history between the two and concluded by saying there’s no threat to the public.
Berreth’s mother, Cheryl, said Kelsey isn’t “the kind that just runs off.”
“She loves her God, she loves her family and friends and she loves her job,” Cheryl said. “She doesn’t run off, and someone knows where she’s at.”
Cheryl said the family is using a Facebook page to collect tips and information.
“We just want you to come home,” Cheryl said, fighting back tears. “Call us if you can, and we won’t quit looking.”
If you have any information about her whereabouts, you’re asked to get in contact with the Woodland Park Police Department at (719) 687-9262.
