Colorado Springs Police Department welcomes 2 new K9 officers

The Colorado Springs Police Department is welcoming two new K9 officers to its pack.

CSPD posted their pictures to their official Facebook page Thursday. Milo and Odin, both males, will be joining the police department’s K9 Unit academy this week.

In just 6 short months, the K9 officers will have hopefully graduated and helping fight crimes on the streets of Colorado Springs. They will be among the 18 other K9s CSPD already has on its force.

Previous Story:

The Colorado Springs Police Department is releasing their 2nd annual K-9 calendar available for purchase to the public for $15.

All proceeds go directly to supporting the CSPD Cadet Program: a program for youth, ages 14 to 21, who want to explore a career in law enforcement. The cadets get the chance to work directly with officers and participate in multiple services throughout the community.

The K-9 wall calendar is 11″x17″ and in full-color, highlighting all 18 of department’s K-9’s from December 2018 to February 2020.

If you are interested in purchasing a calendar, it must be bought in person at the following locations and dates:

– November 23, 2018, 12 pm-4pm, POC Community Room. The cadets will also be wrapping gifts for donation, so please bring your gifts to be wrapped and collect a calendar or two.
– November 24, 2018, 9 am-1pm, POC Community Room. The cadets will also be wrapping gifts for donation, so please bring your gifts to be wrapped and collect a calendar or two.
