Fountain FD battles structure fire on Daffodil Street on windy Super Bowl Sunday

UPDATE: As of around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, The Fountain Fire Department confirmed the structure fire was contained.

Authorities tell us they believe the fire was started from a BBQ pit and say the owners of the home were displaced. A neighboring home was also damaged in the fire, however, it was not reported whether those people were displaced from their home.

The Fountain Fire Department is on scene of a structure fire in the 800 block of Daffodil Street in Fountain.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area. KRDO currently has a crew on the way.
