A cooler Monday brings severe thunderstorms for some

Today: We start out with a cloudy and drizzly morning. Light rainfall is possible as early as 10 am for Colorado Springs and surrounding areas across I-25. Strong thunderstorms approach for the evening but they mainly impact western Colorado. Leadville, Salida, and Gunnison get hit the hardest from 4-6 pm but showers and storms are likely outside of that timeframe as well.

Thunderstorms will be most severe over Colorado Springs and Pueblo from 7-8 pm but showers and storms are likely outside of that timeframe.

High temperatures will right around average with Colorado Springs in the low-80s and Pueblo in the high-80s.

Tomorrow: Thunderstorms will be more mild but temperatures do tick up a couple of degrees. Spotty thunderstorms cross I-25 from 2-7 pm. Tuesday storms mostly impact southern areas through Pueblo and Walsenburg.
