Air Force Cadet found guilty of sexual assault, faces up to 30 years confinement
An Air Force Academy Cadet was found guilty of sexual assault by a court-martial on Sunday.
According to a press release, Cadet 2 nd Class Armis J. Sunday was convicted Feb. 1 by a court-martial panel that consisted of eight officers.
Sentencing for Sunday begins later Friday.
His case involves one charge and one specification of sexual assault by causing bodily harm. Sunday could be facing a maximum punishment of up to 30 years confinement, total forfeitures, and a mandatory dismissal from the military.
