Previous Story:

The company Tris Pharma is issuing a voluntary recall notice for Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension due to products that have been found to be potentially higher in concentrations of ibuprofen.

The recall says some infants may be more susceptible to a higher potency level of the drug, therefore, be more vulnerable to permanent NSAID-associated renal injury.

The following adverse effects may be experienced from the drug: nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or more rarely, diarrhea. Tinnitus, headache and gastrointestinal bleeding are also possible adverse effects, the recall says.

Tris Pharma sells the product as a pain reliever and fever reducer in 0.5 oz. packaged bottles.
