Colorado Springs police investigate unusual death of man Thursday night

Police are investigating the unusual circumstances around the death of an adult male Thursday night.

Officers were called 1885 Old Ranch Road around 9:45 p.m. in regards to an accidental death.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased man was pinned between a trailer and a front end loader. Further investigation revealed the death was, in fact, an accident.

KRDO called Colorado Springs Utilities and the company said the area where the death happened was on its property. CSPD could not confirm that it is CSU property.

Police say the man was most likely at the scene for quite some time before someone found him.

Colorado Springs Utilities says all of its workers are safe and accounted for.
