Snow leads to dangerous conditions on Monument Hill

With the snow falling yet again, road conditions in Southern Colorado were in terrible shape for morning commuters.

Sabrina Downward, who was driving to Littleton, said, “They are garbage, they are nice and icy and fun.”

And when the weather is like this, Monument Hill becomes a nightmare.

Gary Cronk said, “Everybody knows what it’s like. It’s nasty, it’s always nasty.”

While Downward agreed, saying, “It’s crappy. I don’t ever take it. I go 105 to North, I just go around it. Avoid i-25 at all costs.”

And as for drivers out on the road, Theresa Keefer has a reminder for you.

“Just take your time and be careful. If you don’t get to work with a crash, you’re not going to get there, so take it slow and you’ll get there eventually,” Keefer said.

To make your commute easier, snow plows are doing a great job trying to keep the roads as clear as possible.
