Driver tries to run women off Pueblo road, nearly hits officer

Pueblo police are looking for a driver who was in a stolen Ford F-150 when he tried to run two women off the road and then came close to hitting a police officer.

Officer Seth Jensen was flagged down by two women at 2:40 a.m. Thursday near Stone and Division. As Jensen got out of his cruiser, the suspect truck traveled towards the officer at a high rate of speed and almost struck him.

The women told Jensen that the truck had been following their vehicle and just before they saw the suspect, they hit their vehicle from behind.

Officer Justin Preedy then saw the truck at Minnequa and Orman and initiated a pursuit. The pursuit continued to E. 4th St. and Vision Ln., Sgt. Bob Keller called off the pursuit due to speed.

The truck was then spotted two more times by officers but took off at a high rate of speed once the officers got close.

The truck is described as a maroon-colored Ford F-150 with CO plate number CCN-944. The vehicle is listed as stolen. If you see it, call the PPD as soon as possible.

None of the officers or the women were injured during the incident.
