Sweethearts candy breaks hearts, won’t be available this Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and many people enjoy giving and receiving the popular iconic heart conversation candies, however, this year the candies won’t ‘be yours.’
The Spangler Candy Company, which purchased Sweethearts and NECCO Wafers in 2018, said it will not produce the popular heart-shaped candies in 2019.
The company said it is dealing with a lot of manufacturing challenges and unanswered questions right now, and it wants to make sure the brand meets consumer expectations.
Rest assured, the Spangler Candy Sweethearts will return in 2020!
If you can’t wait until then, you can find Brach’s conversation hearts on grocery store shelves this Valentine’s Day.
