Weather Alert for Cold Overnight Temps 1-22-19
TONIGHT: Skies will continue to clear leaving behind a very cold overnight and start to Wednesday. Lows will drop to the single digits and teens with wind chills falling below zero. Winds will be lighter than during the day but enough to ice up the roadways making for slick conditions still for that early morning commute.
TOMORROW: Through mid to late morning tomorrow, temps will begin to warm above freezing helping to melt the residual ice and snow packed roadways. Mostly sunny skies are expected with highs warming to the 30s and low 40s under breezy west and southwest winds.
EXTENDED: It appears a weak system spreads in on Thursday bringing a period of north winds and another cool down with highs in the 20s and 30s. There is also the potential for a quick shot of snow with mainly light accumulations. There could still be some impacts during the early Thursday morning commute but any snow that does arrive will move out later in the day. Friday is still cool with partly sunny skies. The weekend looks quiet and milder as of now.
