Nick’s Sunday Night Weather

Dry westerly winds continue to flow over the state and will continue to bring mild temperatures to Southeast Colorado on Monday, MLK Day. Once again we expect high temperatures to reach the upper 40s to mid 50s, but then gusty northerly winds will send snow down across the mountains by evening. The big question is how much snow accumulates over Colorado Springs. At this time, we’re looking for 1 to three inches of wet powder, mainly on the north end of Town. By Tuesday morning, several inches of wet, icy snow pack is expected along I-25 toward Monument and Denver. Tuesday high temperatures will be in the upper 20s, and chilly weather sticks around for the rest of the week.
