Increasing rain chances with smoky skies throughout southern Colorado

Tonight we will see smoky skies with partly cloudy conditions. It will be on the breezy side with southeast winds at around 10-15 mph,. Low temperatures will fall into the lower 60s for most areas here in the Pikes Peak Region.

Tuesday will bring us a good chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. We will continue to see smoky skies around the I-25 Corridor. High temperatures will hover in the lower 90s.

We will continue to see a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We do have the potential for heavy rain, so we will have to watch out for the potential for flash flooding in the burn areas on Wednesday and Thursday. High will continue to climb into the lower 90s.

The sunshine returns with drier conditions on Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the lower 90s.

It does look like we could see monsoon season kicking up next week, with some good chances for showers and storms across Southern Colorado.
