False alarm: Bomb squad called after crash west of Pueblo

The Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad was called as a precaution following a crash on Highway 78 west of Pueblo, but nothing suspicious was found.

The crash involved at least one sedan and caused the highway to be closed near Boggs Flat Road. (MAP)

The Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad was called because officers found an object that looked suspicious inside the vehicle. That object turned out to be a water filtration system.

Traffic was allowed to pass near the wreck by about 5 p.m.

No information has been released yet about what caused the crash or if anybody was injured.
