Sun and clouds, still mild – 1/16/19

TODAY: Partly sunny skies are in the forecast for this afternoon. Skies will be breezy today thanks to west winds gusting to near 30 at times, especially over the southern mountains. These winds help to warm us up into the 40s and 50s today, despite some clouds.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and cool with lows in the low to mid 20s. Areas over the lower elevations will be close to 30.

EXTENDED: We keep with the mix of clouds and clear skies for your Thursday. Highs will be staying in the low to mid 50s with 40s over the mountains. By Friday, a rain snow mix starts to move in. This will likely be all snow for places in the mountains and over Colorado Springs and the Palmer Divide. Models have this clearing out before sunrise on Saturday. Right now, accumulation looks minimal, but we will have a better idea later on today.
