Former NFL player beats up ‘Peeping Tom’ after getting caught outside daughter’s window
A Florida man was arrested after getting beat up by a former NFL player who allegedly caught him masturbating outside his daughter’s window.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office charged 48-year-old Geoffrey Cassidy with lewd and lascivious exhibition Monday. According to police Cassidy had an Ohio driver’s license and described himself as a transient.
The Huffington Post attainted a probable cause affidavit Tuesday, which does not identify the alleged Peeping Tom, however, former NFL defensive back Tony Beckham identified himself as the accuser to police.
An arrest affidavit says Beckham, 40, was walking to his car Monday when he saw Cassidy standing in the bushes next to his daughter’s window. Beckham said she had just gotten out of the shower and allegedly witnessed Cassidy watching her with his “hand inside of his pants making a motion consistent with masturbating.”
Police say Beckham then yelled at Cassidy, causing him to run. Beckham tackled Cassidy to the ground as he allegedly tried fighting back.
When police got to the scene, they found the two physically fighting. That’s when Cassidy attempted to flee the scene again but stumbled and fell down before being taken into custody by officers.
Cassidy was taken to the Wellington Regional Medical Center with fractures to his face and eye. He since denied the claims of peeping into the window.
According to Palm Beach County Jail records, Cassidy is being held on a $1,500 bail.
