New Chick-Fil-A restaurant opening in east Colorado Springs
In what has become a tradition for newly opening Chick-Fil-A restaurants, hopeful fans will brave the elements and gather for their chance to win free Chic-Fil-A for an entire year. A total of 226 people showed up for registration at 6 a.m. and only 100 lucky fans were selected to participate by random drawing.
Rob Taylor Owner and Operator said, “Chick-Fil-A just again continues improvement, always trying to take it to another level and this is an example of doing just that.”
The deal will consist of 52 total meals throughout the year, meaning one free meal a week.
One participant, Kimberly McIntire said, “For a free year of Chick-Fil-A, this is my eighth time, and I’m not going to stop.”
While another fan, Stephen Peterson added, “It’s worth to me, I think it’s more for the experience, just seeing other people doing it. Meeting other people, just seeing what it’s like.”
This is owner Taylor’s fifth Chick-Fil-A restaurant, he says this one location will employ 106 people.
“It takes a lot of people, great community, great development, great area of town, we are looking to create an impact here and lives and sell lots of chicken,” said Taylor.
In the process of the campout, Chick-Fil-A will also be helping out the community.
Taylor said, “We’ve partnered with children’s hospital up north and we are going to be sponsoring all of the Chick-Fil-A’s in Colorado Springs that would be sponsoring another room for parents and children while they are at the hospital and we are doing a book drive.”
For these 100 fans to get free Chick-Fil-A, they will have to last until 5:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The grand opening will take place tomorrow, at 6 a.m.
